Satan You Must Flee
by James Moore © 2003
Temptation comes at me, with all its
charm,
My friends are doin’
it, so what’s the harm?
Is it worth the risk, at my
soul’s expense?
There is no sin without consequence
The temptor
still stalks me
But now by faith I’m walking
Through thorns and briars, and
darkened trails,
He lies and waits, for me to fail
Satan’s after me,
Satan’s after me
I’m no longer bound by the
chains of sin,
I’ve been forgiven, I’ve
made amends
Jesus cleansed my soul, leads me by
the hand,
He’s Lord of hosts, and in Him
I stand
My cage has swung open,
The curse of flesh is broken
I’m not the same, in
Jesus’ name
In Jesus’ name, I will
proclaim -
Satan you must flee,
Satan you must flee
When Satan comes at me, I do not
fear,
I have a sword, that’s always
near
It’s the Word of God, hidden
in my heart,
It is my strength, it sets me apart
My eyes have been opened
It’s more than just emotion
I’m not the same, in
Jesus’ name
In Jesus’ name, I will
proclaim -
Satan you must flee,
Satan you must flee
My eyes have been opened
It’s more than just emotion
I’m not the same, in
Jesus’ name
In Jesus’ name, I will
proclaim -
Satan you must flee,
Satan you must flee,
Away from me!
