What's New

December 26, 2003 - I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas...I got a nice surprise in my e-mail inbox on the 24th - Crimson Drops of Mercy had debuted at no. 3 on the WeedShare top 10 downloads list! This simple song broke into yet another secular indie music chart! Thanks so much for downloading and listening to my first major solo effort. Remember, Weed is currently giving away $5 to start buying music with, so please check out and consider picking up any of the growing list of songs available at!

December 14, 2003 - I have teamed up with the WeedShare service as an Independent Content Producer (ICP), the first specializing in Christian music! If you're a Christian artist and rightsholder interested in sharing and marketing your music using this service, please visit my new website -

December 13, 2003 - Today Overtly Christian opened at the 2nd annual Jam for the Lamb at the Corner Coffee House in Panama City Beach, FL. Click here for a snapshot.

December 7, 2003 - Tonight Overtly Christian performed at a student youth revival in the Arnold High School gymnasium in Panama City Beach, FL (our first booking outside our local church!). God anointed our singing and playing, it was a great experience...thanks everyone for lifting us up in prayer! Other artists at the event included Neysa Troutt (who sang the national anthem) and the Hip Hop University from Niceville, FL.

Special Thanks and Praise Reports!
Two of our songs have done very well at the indie music site -! Crimson Drops of Mercy reached no. 1 on the major genre Country Chart on Nov. 26, stayed there for three days, and remained in the top 10 until Dec. 7! My Heart Cries also fared well on the Christian Rock Chart. Thanks to all our fans for all the 'hot' votes and listening to our music from the Overtly Christian SoundClick Page! is a secular site containing all music genres, including songs with parental advisory lyrics.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Rick Cupoli for playing Overtly Christian's recording of My Heart Cries during his Dec 11 radio program, Power 90's Progressive Chrisian Rock Show on WEJF in Palm Bay/Melbourne FL!

Special thanks go to Al Tyler for playing Overtly Christian's recording of When The Dove Cries on his Gospel in Song and Word show the weekend of Aug 30-31. Al's show is heard on all six Joy network stations (KJTY in Topeka, KS, WJTM in Frederick, MD, WJTY in Lancaster, WI, WJTG in Fort Valley, GA, WJTF in Panama City, FL, and WJTA in Flagstaff, AZ)!
